1 of 5 J Customs in BX?

Take a look at this ebay listing....

I don't see anything special about it. No "RR" or "I" designation. I have an RRG-4 in honey gold which was #3 of 5.

The seller was trying to tell me that there were only 5 of these made in 2007 and the rest were blue?
Last I checked they did a blue in 2006 and now in 2011.

Am I wrong? Looks like a standard 07 J Custom RG8470F BX?

He's talkng bull. That's just a standard JCRG8470BX. He was told on here by Rich that there were far more than 5 made as Rich himself had sold at least 10. He's still trying to pass it off as one of the special shop order models which it isn't. Having said that they are still a fine guitar regardless of how many were made. I have one.

Daemon is correct. He had that listed in our classifieds and Rich called him out on it. I'd post the original link, but it was removed for being listed here at the same time as the Bay. You certainly did the right thing by coming here to ask first before jumping!

Amen to that. Not the rarest of J Customs but a beautifully made guitar. They came in 5 colours: Prominence, Fire Agate, Black Onyx, Red Spinel and Vintage Violin. The Vintage Violin model, JCRG8470A, had an AAAAA top as opposed to AAA on the rest.

I have a black onyx as well. Mine is from 08. Absolutely love the guitar as well as my other 2 J Customs.

It's a VERY sweet guitar, although I prefer purple. The problem with it is that I don't trust sellers who have been proven to distort the facts.

Agreed (all except the purple part, though purple's awesome too). Being incorrect or uninformed is one thing, but when you learn the facts and continue to misrepresent your item, that's just shady. On a related note, the dude selling that fugly as heck "USA Custom" that wasn't really a USA Custom is still trying to pass it off as one several other places. You've gotta feel bad for people that aren't as nerdy/nutty about buying guitars as we are.
