2001 RG470 Question RG Owners Help

I'm looking at a 2001 470. I'm wondering, if the bridge is a bit worn can I replace it with a Edge bridge? If not, does Ibanez still sell the old ones. How are these in general compaired to a Prestiege model and whats the diff between a 470 and a 570, that are both Japan models?


Also I've heard Ibanez will not sell necks. Is this true?

Well, what was the original bridge?

Also, Ibanez only sends replacement necks if you send the original neck and a fee for the new one.

there are other shops that can sell you a neck for an Ibanez, ed r0man guitars for example I believe has Ibanez necks

It has a Lo-TRS bridge. My friend has a RG350 with a Lo-TRS II. Are they the same bridge?

The Lo-Trs and the Lo-Trs II is not the same, the II is featured on the Korean models.

The difference between the 470/570 is the neck profile, and the trem, both are Japanese.
The Lo-Trs can be swapped with an Original Floyd Rose without any modifications. If you want to swap it with an Edge, you'll probably have to reroute the body a bit.
