Rumor on SS.org there will be an S7 with a ZR trem. Totally a rumor tho based on some guy seeing one up close at a big concert. (Possibly Japan only) Cruise over and check the thread if your interested.

It'd be about time, though I don't see why Ibanez would release it in December, seeing as it's usually shortly after Winter and Summer NAMMs that stuff gets released. I bet the colour(s) will be boring and the pickups will probably be same as in the RG1527.

Well said.

There's an online petition with almost 500 signatures and a ton of people on the ibanez-loyal forums b#tching...It's gonna be interesting seeing how this unfolds.

A year of achieved dreams, DY finishes and locking studs?
or another few months of a tired repetoir?

I'm personally hoping for an expanded Prestige series - more colors and options Better pictures on the Ibanez site wouldn't hurt either

Some more RGA choices would be nice. How about something that costs half way between the 121 and the 321. And how about a neck-thru design would add to their already awesome tones.

Re: 2007 Prestiges?

I want a JEM that is essentially a 6-string version of the current Universe.

1. Start with a Universe (black body with eye/pyramid inlay and abalone purfling; neck with pyramid inlays).
2. Add a JEM's monkey grip, lion's claw and output jack.
3. Voila, there's Ibanez' next JEM, with very little retooling necessary, to keep it cost-effective.

If they really wanna make me happy, they could give it an ebony board, instead of rosewood, and yes, I'd pay an upcharge for that.

RG has enough choices. The S needs more choices.

Well Ibanez released a candy apple red version of the rg350 so i bet that there will be interesting colours on higher end guitars next year

I never said RG (trem), I said RGA (non-trem). I do agree with your opinion that they should scale back on the RG (trem) choices though.

Does nobody like the ZR trem?

I thought it was supposed to be amazing?

I haven't spent a LOT of time with it, but whenever I've used one I've been pretty happy with the return and feel.
