I've forgotten all day to post this. I got done at 7am this morning [err, yesterday now] but of course it was rolling on the whole weekend. Just in case anybody that cared missed it. It's as done as they ever get. I just get to those Artcores and give up!

great report, as always, thanks Rich! i was blown away from China-made Artcores quality a year or two now, but i didn't know how to have people trusting me

Hopefully there's no way I can break the new EZ bar, since the bushings are in the trem arm holder now! And the new nut without the string tree is a much needed improvement.

I really need to get an S, SV, or SZR. Too many choices.

I agree about the Giger models, they need to make a japanese one!

The RGR1570 is looking like a PRIME customisation candidate. A swirl, clear pickguard and new pickups and that could be one nice looking axe.

(Maybe some pyramids too on an ebony board

Yes, some very nice stuff in there this year. As always though, I'm more impressed by the options in the S line than the RG line. After I buy my JS, I'll have to think about getting the S5470TKS, as it looks great.

Rich, was the SV a Steve Vai creation? I read some speculation on the net about it and wanted to find out if that was true?

Thanks it was really informative. I was really tired of NAMM reports that focused on recording software (and hardware), not that that stuff is useless. I just wanted to know about the guitars!

I looked at the pistures now and I have GAS for the SVs and the new Iceman. Especially the Iceman I love those.

Being poor sucks!!!!

I gotta apply for some overtime!
