Re: 2008 Prestiges with Edge-Zero

Could these pictures be pre-production models, hence the too-large rout?

I'm glad I've held off on ordering an RG1527, maybe one of those "coming soon..." RGs or the S will be a mahogany-bodied 7-string. Can't wait to see the new signature models, 2008 is looking good!

For people who didn't like the Lo-Pro edge before, they'll soon change their tune. hehe.
The LP was licensed by Floyd Rose.

They lost their license.

Anyone here know if the SV body shape is any different than a regular S?

The gap on the back is to allow for the intonation tool.

Zero is about right. That pretty much describes the interest I have in owning one. The pop in bar is gone. Looks like no locking studs either. --Jason

Re: 2008 Prestiges with Edge-Zero

synchroniZR looks nice, it eats less wood on the top.

i hope that the new wrench holder doesn't come with it stock.. too bad to have another hole routed in the headstock. what for. i have them in my case.

i'd like to see something with fixedbridge tho.. :/ piezo RGA321 for example. it would be nice.

The sv's look pretty cool w/ the 24 fret necks...I might have to peep one if they reach the US....cool stuff.

Re: 2008 Prestiges with Edge-Zero

New top lock looks like the blocks are square and flat and the new wrench holder is a nice addition.

The trem basically looks like a new Edge Pro/Lo Pro design with some new things going on in the spring cavity (not sure exactly what all that is because I can't read Japanese). Hopefully the new stuff in the trem cavity removes the need for a Tremel-No or a backstop, but I kinda doubt it does.

It seems there will be 4-5 new RG's in the Prestige line as well. A BLK RGT320 looks nice (not as nice as the last version in rbb but I'd still be interested in it if they don't get any crazier on the price).

mattycakes, I would like to see matching headstocks before just putting rosewood on everything. A matching headstock on my RG20062 would have looked much nicer than the rosewood but the rosewood looks nice on the RG20063 with the natural wood puzzle pieces.

The word I'd use to describe that is mischievous. It looks like it would cause trouble. I wouldn't want my kids seen with it (if I had kids).

That 100th RG would be cool, but and Edge III? Come on now... that thing isn't worth more than $400.

The screw down collar might end up helping that issue that most of us have had with the pop in bar....it'll remove the slop...secondaly we ain't had locking studs in a minute, and you can always get Rich's mod kit.
