To me, the new trem seems like a new version of Windows. I'll see what the early-adopters say. LOL! Like I said, though; Ibanez is putting them on their top-of-the-line models so they seem very confident in them.
I'd like to hear more from people who actually OWN these guitars, not to mention trying one out for myself, before forming an opinion one way or the other.

i personally dislike the edge-zero. i played about 5 guitars with it on them yesterday and was not a fan. albeit the ability to adjust the spring tension easily is a nice thing to have. the trem just did not feel good for palm-mute's at all. secondly the whole trem arm tension reminds me of trs-ii trem, and on several of the guitars, the trem arm was slightly loose and banged around which I HATE. no amount of fiddling with the arm tension thing seemed to fix this unless it was completely tight. all in all, the trem itself felt almost like a trem from an Ibanez Artcore guitar.

right after I was done playing with the edge zero trems I picked up a candy red js1200, with the edge pro, and wow, the edge zero just does not compare. obviously my experience is with a small sample size, so i still would not hold judgement to the edge zero until i owned one but i dont see that happening very soon.

Anybody passing judgement on the EZ that hasn't tried it with the ZPS bar removed is only trying half of the trem system.
