I'm definetely getting the AT100. I was stupid enough to sell my NOS one!!!!

I guess they won't keep the J-Custom text behind the headstock...stupid detail, I know!

I've done quite a many searches for a RG565 at Thomann's website during the last couple of days. It'd be so awesome to get an "updated" version of it... Riiiiiichhh???

I think it's overdue as the next limited edition reissue (like they did with 550 and 770). For Summer NAMM perhaps?

The 100 usually SELLS for $3000 in used condition. You can buy them NEW much cheaper now.
Thanks Rich. I didn't realize used ones went for anywhere near that amount of money :-)

Any news on lower end models? Specifically, the S series. Same models or are they replacing them?

Re: 2009 ibanez line-up speculation

The only new (mid-priced) S is the S470B with the happy colors (Sky Blue, Red and White), just recently released in Japan and up for release in at least the EU for 2009 since it's already listed at thomann.

No news about the S320. It's still in production, so it probably returns unchanged. Anything cheaper than that and you'll end up with a S with an Edge III (which doesn't exist).

I'm still wondering if they going to discontinue the SA series in favor of (lower priced) SV models. Probably not since the flat back SA body is cheaper to produce and because of that more suitable for 100 and 200 series guitars, but you'll never know.

More new cheaper guitars: a Black GRG250DX with red pickguard, binding and teeth, Non-Prestige RGA's and Artists and the new Darkstone guitars.

I believe they're not changing the SA's yet, but I did see a new S670, a PB one, so that would be a poplar burl top?

Maybe something similar to Chris Broderick's 7-String?

Other forums have speculated as such. It'd be good to have his guitar as a non-embarassing Ibanez signature model alongside the Vai/Satch ones.

I just wonder whether it'd have Dimarzios or his choice of Bare Knuckles. I'm guessing the former since Bare Knuckle don't make pickups on such a grand scale.
