An obnoxious color?!? I am SO there, brother!

Ah, November - January! That fun time when Rich, Jay 13, and others in the know get to bask in the impatience of those of us waiting to see "what's next"!

I hope they start selling some of the models available in other markets here in the US.

Maybe that nice RG1521 model they sell in Japan?

Or that RGR321 on the UK site!

And S$#t! That white "beehive" RG420EG on the UK site is the dog's nuts!

No doubt, another RG470 would get burned for its country of origin but I like Indonesian guitars.
Still, with my luck, Ibanez won't release that guitar in the US, like that SWEET RGR370 they have in Candy Apple in the UK.

Re: ***** 2009 line-up leakage *****

I hope he's implying that we're gonna get a Prestige with a maple board... it would be about ****ing time, I think. Well, then again, it'll probably only be sold in some remote town in Brazil, or on the moon, or some other place I have no access to.

AND, I hope its a neon green or neon orange, as far as the obnoxious color is concerned.

...or, maybe the obnoxious color and the maple board come on one model.. which I won't dig, because of all the black, grey, and red Prestige guitars that Ibanez has made, there's been very few of them with maple boards.

I never leaked anything anyway. Tease, sure, that's what pre NAMM info is supposed to be, not, "hey, look what's coming, get yer wallets out!" When the company wants news released they'll do it themselves, but I will confirm other info that leaks, sometimes.

OK I've heard rumor of a Paul Gilbert PGM Firebust.
Yes or No?

It would be great of Ibi rereleased some of the Pyramid inlayed loud bodied Jems.
They really need ro shake things up in the Steve Vai line.

That new PGM with the burst looks great!

I'm interested to see what Ibanez releases in 2009. It's always cool to see what they come up with. Last year was tremendous, though, imo. In terms of diversity, great finishes and other new things that came out. I thought the chameleon finish on the S2170 was really cool and interesting, for instance:

And of course the 24 fret S guitars that came out, which are awesome. Especially the one in the color TKS. And then there's the Herman Li model... And plenty of other things.

But one year's catalog seems to be more interesting than another... I don't really expect 2009's Ibanez catalog to blow me away like last year's did. But time will tell.
