Re: 2009 ibanez line-up speculation

I'm hoping for something other than black and red in J-Custom because I've already got a couple of those.

Well you are in Tennessee , couldn't you just get a new whisky jug to blow in?
It would look bad ass if you got it swirled.

No more cranky tuning pitchy issues driving the mind crazy, this sounds refreshing if it happens. How about a P&W reissue 20 years Universe swirly girl. Wonder if a neon reissue would ever happen. Or how about something brand new cutting edge....hmmm...24K Gold harp sounds about right.

What does the "SEVEN" stand for?

Re: 2009 ibanez line-up speculation

It represents a numeric value between six and eight?

Seriously, the dudes from Slipknot numbered themselves, and Mick Thompson was seven.

Rock on!

Re: 2009 ibanez line-up speculation

How about last night I was flipping through the new Guitar World magazine where they list a bunch of guitars and their list prices... and Mick Thompson has a new signature Ovation acoustic - and yes - it has SEVEN on the fretboard, haha. THAT's metal.

The only thing lamer than that is the fact that they're still wearing those awful masks. I actually enjoy 'Volume III' a good bit sometimes, but the gimmick just doesn't fly high enough any more.

There'd be more people pissed off if they stopped. They did the 'maskless' thing with their solo projects to an extent and by and large it sucked.

I hate the masks most because it strikes me as a marketing ploy. That's why their general crowd is never gonna be much older than 16.
