2570 question/help

Hey guys I bought a rg2570 from rich around jan. and I have been noticing lately at the area below the pickups toward the floor when holding the guitar there is this weird look to the paint job. Some of the silver looks white when light hits it but when light isn't that concentrated on the area it looks more black. Idk how to explain it really and my camera is broken >_<. You guys might no what im talking about though

Re: 2570 question/help

I recently sold a 2570 body that had the same thing. I think there is either no clear coat, due to the textured finish, or it is very thin. Do you anchor? It is probably wear from that, or picking.

sometimes I anchor so I guess that could be it.

Re: 2570 question/help

I see that on my 1570.

The color is missing on the edge of the pickip rout closest to the switch. I can see the black primer.

I don't think I'm hitting the pick on that edge, by my picking is horrible so maybe I am?

MIne had it too and I think it is from your hand buffing the finish which seems pretty soft.

I've got a Vital Silver 2570 as well. The paint/finish looks pretty cool, but it's a problematic finish. I don't think it's got a drop of clear coat on it, and the paint is very thin.
