5K new Ibanez J custom

Check this out :
Ibanez J custom RG 9670 Z , 2009 edition, listed as 570,000 yen or around USD 5000++.

Thank God, I already had the old RG 9670, no excuses to buy the new one..

... That is ridiculous. I'd rather get a new vigier or a suhr.

Someone needs to call a landscaper to trim the vine back cause it's growing past the neck and onto the body.

WOW! Bet the domestic (Japanese) market loves it. Gotta remember they aren't designing the JC's for gaijin.

I think it's ugly. I wouldn't pay $500 for that, nevermind 5k.

I quite like it. I don't $5K like it, and I don't like the Edge Zero, but a nice idea

Re: 5K new Ibanez J custom

Frozen Ocean, their finish naming department has a vast pool of creative ideas .

There will be enough people in the Japanese market that can and will affort the guitar, don't worry.

It is beautiful, nonetheless, spare the EZ - ebony fretboard, neckthrough, comes in a solid flight case, not the regular J Custom one. And they mention something about it having an "Asymmetric Super Wizard neck shape" and lots of hand labor. I would't refuse if it came as a gift. And I think it shows one more very well that Ibanez is first a Japanese company with a sustainable domestic market, and only secondarily an international guitar producer.
