They look nice. But for me i don't think i will ever play on more then 6string.
Well 7strings at most.

I like my rg2228, but to be honest, I don't see much point beyond 7 myself

I might understand that Macalpine or some other guitar superman would like meny strings to build different chords or something like that, but Macalpine is a little better then me so i let him and others do that

I just mean tonally, physically, playability, etc....amplifying the low end isn't always easy, the neck is wide, the scale is longer, its just more to deal with...

transitioning to a 7 isn't much, its like a 6+1 string, playability isn't much difference and the tone is still not that low, but an 8 is almost a different instrument. the 9's and 10's ive seen aren't guitars imo, specifically the 10+ strings, yeah ive seen an 11 string even, like a low C# on a 9 string I can see, but that's in the basses frequency....

anyway this wasn't really to give my opinion, I have/had 7's, have/had 8's, and if Ibanez makes a 9 string with emg 909s and a the right neck (including scale), id probably get one evneutally.

That's a cool looking guitar, but no way in hell I could play it with my stubby fingers

J-Customs are some of the best looking guitars out there but I just can't get around their price tag.

Definitely and I feel like unless a person has a lot of disposable income, they'd need to be quite committed to the 8 string way of life to drop that much money on one.
