Re: Anyone Play the 20th Rg's??

Dee after all the fight I put up, I caved and got an RFR. I still stand by my "plays as good as any other RG550" comment. However its looks blow away 90% of anything I have seen since...1987!

so why didn't you buy a used one on e Bay or get a 2550, 2570?

if the neck was fine the way it was, Ibanez wouldn't have had to add more structural integrity. as long as it plays as nice as the originals the new neck is just piece of mind.

BTW - Kirk, congrats!!! what do you think of the pups?

These guitars stand out and make a loud statement just hanging on display. Lots of guitarists still don't know about them.

The RG550 oughta be an Ibanez standard-- offered year in, year out, in neon colors and sedate colors, maple boards or rosewood, different pickup options and neck profiles. Just like the freaking Fender Stratocaster.
Absolutely agreed man, the 550 should never have been discontinued. What were they thinking?!!
