Re: Anyone tried the RG2610 yet??

I wouldn't mind owning one for the sheer simplicity, but I'd probably replace the pickup (if it's as bad as I hear it is) and use it for some lowered tuning of some sort.

Is that an ebony fretboard?

Or just dark rosewood?

I know the site says rosewood but that's really dark...I like it.

No beef, it's just not my thing. I would put in a Dimarzio Evo in.

I would buy one if it had a single coil in the neck and dot inlays.

I'm not digging the inlays, too be honest, I am thinking of getting one and doing a bit of a custom Job on it, I've got a bit of spare money.

I would change the inlay of the neck and make it totally plain like the new MTM2, I'd stick with the rosewood though, then I would change the volume pot to white instead of black, and put in a white evo pup in. Then she would look quite sound, I think that anyways.

What do you think?

May I add that, when I say I would customise the guitar, it's more like someone else would be doing it lol

Re: Anyone tried the RG2610 yet??

I think that'd be great. I wouldn't be satisfied with a single pickup guitar, I need a single coil. I agree on the white pickup and knob, though.

Re: Anyone tried the RG2610 yet??

i ate it....

Yes I agree that the neck is lacking. A pure ebony board (maybe a cool inlay on the 12th) and a white pickup knob would do magic.

In your opinion, if you got a pure no inlay ebony board, would you get it with white binding? I'm thinking about it and I can't make up my mind (or a mock up for that matter)
