Bare knuckles in a RG3120 VV Prestige
Hi Guys,
In a weeks time i'm going to buy some Bareknuckle Crawlers to in my ibanez.
On the website there are a few things i'm unsure of:
Spacing: 50mm or 53mm
Cover: I'm going for Nickel Cover (I use pure blues nickles wound strings, Choosing these covers instead of chrome won't have any adverse effects?
Conductor: 4 or Braided 2. I'm guessing 4 is standard?
Leg: 1/2" or 1/4" ? Not sure here.
I did notice the screw mounts are square so a little bit of filing is required but that'll be no problem.
Thanks for the help, I'll upload a click to show you they sound when they arrive.

Spacing 53 mm (F spaced essentially)
No tone problems with the nickel, but it does age and tarnish. That looks great on something like a Les Paul but might be odd on your guitar.
Conductor: 4, if you want to be able to split the pick ups as per the stock wiring
Legs, not sure - measure the stock ones!

I don't understand why BK don't have these "Crawlers" on their website.

E-mail Tim at BKP and ask him what legs size you will need. Probably short for an Ibby. 53mm, 4 conductor and also if you request it they will do triangular tabs to fit without modification. Although I have a sqaure tabbed BKP in my RG2610 and although it's quite tight it did fit. Also the Crawlers certainly are on the BKP site under the signature series pickups.

I've been real interested in hearing these pickups, but their from the UK, right? Who sells them in the US? Any clips that anyone has made?

bareknucklepickups.co.uk
plenty of clips on their forum. Forum member raglor, also known as Zimbloth on sevenstring.org is a BKP dealer and a real good guy. If you are interested pm him and he can get you whatever you want. Although you may have more luck on ss.org. I'm not sure how often he is over here. Although he is at NAMM right now.

Got a C-pig from Jason @
Peerless Tone
. Cool guy but it takes @1 month to get it from the UK to your mailbox. Well worth it though
