basic question about the 20th anniv RG 550's


Are they like buying one NOS?
I want to recapture that tone/feel i had when i bought a new one back in 1988

1988-2008=25 years? And the reissue of the 550 was put out last year not this year so... that's 1987-2007=20 .

The guitars are a faithful recreation with some minor improvements in the neck, but I would not call them NOS. Personally I think they are an improvement over the original, but YMMV.

Yeah limited release on those. You have about 400 of the RFR floating around, so you should be able to snag one.

They sold for $799 new, and you can still find them on the bay for close to that.
