Thumbs up

Buying advice please!

Hi all

I had an 02 RG2550 however sold it - was in bad nick and needed a lot of work. So I bought an ESP, needless to say that was a mistake - hated the thing. Played nice in shop but I think the neck was warped or something, couldn't get rid of horrible horrible buzz after trying everything!

So now I've sold that and am looking for a nice new Ibanez. I loved the RG's playability etc, however I've seen a gorgeous JS1000 that's taken my eye.

Would it be worth getting a JS or just going for a mid-ish range RG Prestige and upgrading the pups?

Cheers

The JS1000 is a very nice guitar and they are going for reasonable prices at the moment in the UK (used) Other than that, any MIJ RG in good condition would be good.

it was a ESP LTD EC1000.

worst purchase I made. Might have just got a bad one but its put me off those models for life.

I used to have an explorer and it was ace, this was just poor.

Really looking at the JS - its the blue and black one

I kind of fancy an ESP explorer, there's a used on in a used guitar shop near me but I don't think I can afford it. I was equally if not more tempted by a £200ish Tokai Explorer copy. Black with cream pickups and mounting rings. Very Judas Priest.

I like esp guitars and edwards guitars. However I dislike Ltds.

The new S models are very nice too.
