can you only get j-customs from japan?

i was just wondering if i shold save for one of those or get an rg 1570 right now.. and i fyou do have t get it from japan how much does shipping cost?

Do a search there's a current/very recent thread discussing shipping. As for availability other than Japan, there are dealers here or there that stocks them, but they're few and far between. There's a high-end guitar shop in the Disney Mall in Orlando that stocks J-Customs.

No, you can order a couple models from www.ibanezrules.com here in the U.S.

But you are talking about a difference of $1000 or better in the price of a j.custom over a 1570 so shipping (around $130 from Japan) and an import duty of 6% (say $120), doesn't really matter if that's what you want does it?

Huh, those escaped my attention (none in stock though)... He does have a couple secondhand.

or you could get something halfway between the two: an RG3120

the body on the 3120 is almost identical. even the necks (on the non-current ones) are similar with the offset dots.

Huh? On the "New" page he has the RG8270F listed as in stock and an RG8470 on the way.

On the 8270 page: "Out of stock and checking on availability to pick up more." Could be Rich missed that when updating. On the way doesn't mean in stock.
