Check this out! (HRG-4 BX)

Just saw this killing time at work.

Been wanting something like this for a long time. A J-Custom 7 string with a vine. Man.. I wish I had the cash for this.

Re: Check this out! (HRG-4 BX)

I saw those a week ago on ikebe; pretty cool, though trans onyx is not a flattering finish at all. What ever happened to DBK? Now that was a classy trans black (I know, I know, DBK was a burst and BX is not; for all I know they could be the same stain). Also, another thing I am not into, unbound necks. I know with some guitars binding can look like too much but I really miss Ibanez' white bound necks w/ offset dots. (with the current trend I do not anticipate them returning to the J-Custom line)

I only wish this came with an Ebony Board and the flame maple binding(Essentially a 7 string version of an RG8670).

Not a big fan of unbound fretboards myself either, hopefully Ibanez will change thier J-Custom line next year because the 2005 line up is a bit of a dissapointment for me.

no gripes about the finish here. thats amazing. i think all guitars need a maple neck/fingerboard though
