cleaning my guitar

Hey everyone

Ive had my 1570 for about 2 months now and it has ALOT of fingerprints on it, i asked my guitar teacher what i could do to get the fingerprints of and he said spray the body and neck with furnaure polish and wipe it down.
Does this work? I dont want to try it because im scared it will so something bad to it. Is there anything you guys can suggest?

Thanks
Sam

Furniture polish? Why not just get guitar polish? Works for me.

Re: cleaning my guitar

I definitely wouldn't use furniture polish on the neck. To much waxy buildup.
Like Kamikaze said, go with Guitar polish.(don't use it on the fretboard though).
May want to click on the Ibanezrules banner at the top and check out Rich's cleaning section.

Re: cleaning my guitar

Use guitar polish for the body and lemon oil for the neck.

Might as well post this...

Don't use lemon oil, use bore oil. Someone else was eventually going to say it.

May I ask what's the difference? I've never clean my guitar at all. So I'm thinking of starting it. Cleaning I mean
