Re: Custom Petrucci Doubleneck for sale

Does it bother anyone else that the headstock logos don't match? Looks like it was just thrown together. If I was an endorsee having a guitar custom built for me by Ibanez, I'd at least have them make the logos match.

Re: Custom Petrucci Doubleneck for sale

Maybe he felt better off with a neck from one of his regular Ibanez guitars and performed a swap.

At least make the logos match? Does it really matter? You're supposed to play it, not admire it's logos. :P (Listen to Freak Kitchen "Logo". )

Re: Custom Petrucci Doubleneck for sale

Interesting, I'm sure he's been 'trying' to sell the double neck for a while? It does look wrong and thrown together without the matching headstock, but pretty cool. i wonder what DiMarzio's are on them, PAF Pro/HumBucker from hell, or Air Norton/Steves Special?

hmmmmm i kinda agree with TA. If i was paying that much for a guitar i would want the aesthetic features to be in line. Visual appeal is a must when you are throwing that kind of money around for an axe.

I don´t like it.

This guitar has been on Evilbay a couple of times too. It is quite expensive for what it is, but then again it was owned and played by the man himself! I believe that Petrucci got rid of it ages ago.

That's for sale on his site. It is the last remaining of his personal Ibanez's from when he switched to EBMM.

It has piezo elements built into the bridge saddles.

Re: Custom Petrucci Doubleneck for sale

is it really necessary to have a doubleneck for the piezos ? i thought you could have 2 separate outputs(one for normal pups and one for piezo). Why would you need a doubleneck then ?

Re: Custom Petrucci Doubleneck for sale

Looks like the piezo part has thicker strings, and also bronze wound strings. Maybe there's a scale difference? Maybe he used them at the same time? I don't know, but I know I don't like the color.
