Dating my Ibanez

Anyone knows what the numbers on the headstock mean? On my RG2020x Prestige there is this number:

F99 55159 Japan

Is this a date and a serial number?
Please explain me if you can!!

As you correctly asumed the 99 is a date, that means the guitar is from 1999.

The F stands for Fuji Gen Gakki, which is the title/name of the factory in Japan where it was made and...

The 55159, I believe, means it's the 55159th guitar made that year.

When I give the serial number of my guitars to places like insurance companies I give them the whole lot "F99 55159" rathre than just the last 5 digits.

Well, start with a few drinks, maybe a movie, just don't spill anything on her, and then take her back to your place for a little play time...

...wait...Ooooh...That's kind of dating.

So I'm sick AND slow.

DAMMIT. I wanted to come in here and break up a serious discussion abotu determining the age of a musical instrument with a discussion of the pros and cons of using inanimate objects for sexual gratification.

I wonder if that means i've been on this site too long.
