Difference Between Cosmo Black & Black?

Could someone describe/post pictures of both? I've been looking for a comparison but can't seem to find anything. I ask to decide which color I should get for the Lo-Pro I'm going to order. Thanks.

Re: Difference Between Cosmo Black & Black?

black is black, like the black on any black knob. cosmo is more like a dark chrome so it's got more of the metal shine of chrome. should be plenty of pics of cosmo around, try google and the ibanez register

Re: Difference Between Cosmo Black & Black?

I had this problem too when i was buying an ibanez Edge. i decided to go for black... and down the track ended up with a cosmo black as well when i bought my 570. cosmo is great but i still prefer black... i guess it depends on what colour its on and personal preference.

Here are some pics for you - Colours are black, cosmo, black

keep in mind there is also powder cosmo which is a matte cosmo. The bridge colour that the DNA's have. it is quite nice but unfortunately not part of my collection just yet

hope this helps

Re: Difference Between Cosmo Black & Black?

that looks like a very worn one though.. the best representation of cosmo is the dark part of the high e saddle in those pics..

Re: Difference Between Cosmo Black & Black?

nah its not very worn at all... its cause my room has this fluorescent white light so there was quite a lot of reflection and the bottom pic is over exposed. Without reflection the colour is more like the high e saddle as u said.

Re: Difference Between Cosmo Black & Black?

thanks dude...I didnt swirl this 1. im in 2 minds as to whether to sell it or not. I learned how to swirl so i dont think i need this 1. In order to swirl i need a ginormous tub big enough to fit a body and ample width and i need money for a spare body. Selling this 1 would fund it, if i decide to go down that path.

Heres a photo of the guitar with some badass photoshopped dna pickups inserted. hehe... just testin out colour schemes.

Re: Difference Between Cosmo Black & Black?

Thanks a lot for all the pictures guys!

EDIT: To Lordiesel, is the order of the colors in your pictures Cosmo Black, Cosmo, Black? You listed regular black twice.

Yer the left and the right is regular black.... and the middle is cosmo black.

So black, cosmo black, black.

The Cosmo Black looks more like a basic gray.

Re: Difference Between Cosmo Black & Black?

Cosmo is one of those things that's hard to photograph because the shades change depending on the light. If you know what gun metal looks like, that's basically cosmo. It's chrome with a black tint to it, so sometimes it appears black, sometimes lighter.

Re: Difference Between Cosmo Black & Black?

yes very true... for example in the pic with the cosmo bridge in the 570GN it looks like black chrome... in the seperate pics it looks grey cause of the light, angle and reflection.
