Discuss the 2008 lineup more in detail (complaints welcome!)....

Use this thread to complain about the lineup as much as you want as many times as you want. For everyone else, use the other thread.

I personally think the 2008 lineup is pretty bland. Nothing really jumps out at me except the 3520.

I'm thrilled about the 24 fret S and the Edge Zero.

I'll definitely be picking up an S5470 TKS, and maybe the RG3520.

Please stay out of my thread. This is for people who actually want to complain about it without having to answer to Rich or anyone else who is offended by such complaints. I was never one of the big complainers; the point of this thread is to let THOSE people vent because they should be able to. No one is breaking rules here.

Maybe we should see if Glen wants to make a Crybaby section of the forums where topics like no neon colors and no new Jems threads can be beaten into the ground or a Dead Horse beating section, where those topics can be covered as well as "F-Spaced Vs Non-F Spaced".

I love this. I actually TRY to distract negative discussion from the other thread, but you people infiltrate this thread with your crap. Why don't you just stay over there? I don't get it. What the hell bothers you so much about people who have different opinions than you?

I think Ibanez has been listening AND moving in the right direction. Sure their are not alot of WOW! guitars in the higher range but what percentage of their sales quantify such a MASSIVE line-up in that range?

IMHO they are trying to satisfy a wide range of instrument tastes with the limited amount of models they can REASONABLY offer each year and they show a little of that every year, especially last and this year with the RG20ths, the RG2610 and the MIJ S's.

I understand your angst and frustration not seeing something in the new lineup that suits you. It happens from time to time for all of us. Last year was HUGE in terms of what they offered up (among the LARGE amounts of other models there were 2 Jems!!!!) so you can't expect that to be standard fair EVERY year. Last year was a special year and this year might still have some very nice offerings to be unveiled. I am personally liking some of what I'm seeing.

With what I have been seeing and knowing there are still 3 more Prestige RG's to be shown at WNAMM I'm not going to throw in my towel and be bummed. Lots of other companies and Customs to be had to be down about it.

I can only imagine what we will see this summer and next WNAMM.

Just my 2cents.

People are getting the wrong idea. I don't care, myself. I just bought a kick-ass RGT320Q. I'm totally happy! Again, this is for the people who aren't!

There you go again, telling other people to stay out of "your thread". According to you everybody has a right to say whatever they want wherever they want, except in "your thread" right? And if you weren't one of the biggest complainers why are you the one starting all the threads? You'd think the "real" biggest complainers could take care of that themselves, yet here you are, trying to fuel a fire.

Listen mate, a lot of people can't yet complain because these models AREN'T IN STORES YET. We can whine all we want about pictures, but il be damned if i judge this years lineup by it's adverts and pictures. I am stoked to try the new bridges. I have my expectations, hopefully Ibanez will be able to surprise me. If people want to complain, there is a lovely link posted on the Ibanez website where customers are directed to for this sort of thing.

I think we can safely close this without missing out on anyones opinions. As far as i am concerned, any doubts we have or disappointments can be considered hearsay. Without actually trying them, there is no way we can honestly shoot them down. I for one am really stoked about the 24 fret S. It was the only thing that prevented me from seriously investing a good S because i wanted to be more hybrid and versatile than a strat with it's 22 frets and reduced scale size.

Anywho, calm down mate. I am an expert in making an ass of myself, but this is a good forum and there are a lot of good guys on here - don't mess it up for yourself, you dig?
