Does the Edge pro feel stiffer to you guys than the older trems...?

Is the Edge Pro stiffer than the older Ibanez trems?

I've tried the edge pro on a Js1000 which roll into the store, it feels much stiffer than my EDGE

Yeah, my 2003 RG3120 feels a lot stiffer than my 1999 RG3120. I'm sure it has to do with a lot of things, like the springs being worn in, etc. But, I'm inclined to believe the Edge Pro on the 2003 has a major impact as well.

I wonder why... heavier materials, maybe...?

yes, it is stiffer than Lo Pro.

yes, it is to me too. i think it has to do with the springs, rather than the trem itself. haven't tried old springs in an Edge-Pro though.

Mine actually does feel a little stiffer TBH. Alot of players use 4 springs in the Edge and Lo Pro. It is possible that the springs are still so new that only having 3 still feels stiffer. Just a guess though.
