edge II, III tremolo information

Can anyone give me an overview of the edge II and edge III tremolos? Are they comparatively lower quality than that of the edge pro? Any information would help.

Re: edge II, III tremolo information

The Edge III is based on original edge, meaning it is non-low profile. The Edge II low profile on the other hand. Both of them are inferior to the Edge Pro. Edge Pro is produced by Gotoh in Japan. Edge II and III are made in Korea using weaker metals and alloys etc. hence less stable. Hope this helps .

they're not interchangeable, sadly. although the edge pro and edge pro II do look very similar.

Re: edge II, III tremolo information

I've played guitars that were equiped with Edge Pros, Edge Pro IIs and Edge IIIs and even a novice can tell the difference in the fluidity and smoothness of the Edge Pro as opposed to the other two. Of course, the Edge Pro II and Edge III aren't bad trems. They're better than those Licensed Floyd Roses that you'll find on Jacksons. Oh, and the Edge III may not be as low profile as the Edge Pro/II but it is still lower profile than the Original Edge.

i have a rg with edge 3 and its pretty good for the price of the guitar. i have never tried edge 2 or edge pro with the bar so i cant really compare. but i think its better than the FR's on jackson.
