EGEN18 volume knob coming out

I just bought a new EGEN18, the volume poti of this guitar is supposed to be a push-pull knob, when I pull it, though, it comes out (including the metal stick going into the body of the guitar:



Is this a factory error (the guitar did have a quality control name tag on it though), or am I missing some simple solution?

It wasn't preparred right for shipping and the pot is now broken. Either buy the pot and replace it or return it and have them fix it.

factory error. that is, the error is they using those pots. i had many of them (with Ibanez stamp on) coming out very easily and not getting back in place, either push/pull and standard pots. i can't really get why they don't use DiMarzio parts on high-end or signature models. a DiMarzio pot costs about 3 bucks, that's a drop in the ocean for a $3000 guitar.

indonesian models have better pots.
