Finally owning a Prestige: RG20064 Jigsaw Puzzle
Yes! Today I got my first Ibanez Prestige. I bought my last guitar in 1993, an Ibanez EX 370 TR, which I still love. But it was time to get me a new one, and so here it is a brand new RG20064 Jigsaw Puzzle. Does anybody know if a prestige comes with a certificate of authenticity because mine didn't, just wondering. Re: Finally owning a Prestige: RG20064 Jigsaw Puzzle
BEAUTIFUL! One of my favorites and my fave of the puzzle guits. My new 2620 Prestige had no certificate with it. I'm thinking that's probably reserved for limited runs in the Anniversary models and J-Customs.

Nice man, you may have proven my opinion of those guitars wrong.

Re: Finally owning a Prestige: RG20064 Jigsaw Puzzle
Wow very very nice indeed. On closer look, I realised that the jigsaw parts comprised of
flame maple
and quilt tops combined. Interesting.

I never really got into those, but yours is a nice exception, those quilted pieces are spectacular!

Re: Finally owning a Prestige: RG20064 Jigsaw Puzzle
What I like about this model compared to the swirls, is that you can replace the pups to something better, without feeling that you're ruining the work (as the swirls cover the pups as well..)
Congrats man!

I'm with you in that I'm not a huge fan of the jigsaw guitars, but this one is absolutely beautiful.

Re: Finally owning a Prestige: RG20064 Jigsaw Puzzle
I still don't know how they got the top to be both flamed and
quilted maple
in a jigsaw pattern. Very cool, though.

All pieces of the puzzle are really individual pieces of wood. So I guess they get a piece of
flamed maple
and a piece of quilted and then cut it up. Somewhere out there there's probably an RG20064 that's the exact inverse of mine with the quilted and flamed pieces that were left over from making mine.
Thanks for the compliments guys. I like it a lot too. The setup though is not all that great, intonation seems to be way off. So I gotta spend some hours before really getting to play her.

Wow!
That looks amazing.
The individual quilting on those puzzle pieces are beautiful.
