First one to see a RG 2610 Prestige???

Not sure I would buy one, but that looks nice!
Maybe a preview of 2007 line-up...

Interesting...
One pickup and one volume... That's gotta be a first on an Ibanez production guitar.

I have waited and waited and thought, "if only they'd finally make a black guitar".

Its sortof like having the best looking car that only turns left. No
neck pickup
= useless.

I'm kinda diggin it. I loved the Charvels with just the volume and humbucker. Set it and forget it.

Re: First one to see a RG 2610 Prestige???
I like the stripped-down vibe, but the inlays are off-putting, and the volume knob looks to be in an awkward place (what can I say, I'm a PGM convert).

Nothing but a matter of taste. It's good enough for some - if it'd have a tone knob, it'd be good enough for me too.
That's quite funny actually - with two pickups, I can do without the tone-knob, but with one pickup, I have to have a tone knob.

Re: First one to see a RG 2610 Prestige???
Even though I like my two humbucker and 5-way setup very much, a stripped-down guitar like that looks very appealing. Just a ballsy, no-nonsense guitar when you need it (unless you consider a trem nonsense). Many people might think a single-pickup guitar is lacking but many players out there only use the
bridge pickup
and it's a kinda waste if you're never gonna remove it or do the ugly removing it thing.
I think the
sharkfin inlays
with the empty centres looks weird though. And which SD humbucker is that?

One might say that. I'm cool with the guitar, but I'd much rather have Ibanez focus on 7-stringers. Who knows, just maybe we'll get some of them.
