Frets quality on Ibanez RG JCustom

Hello from France,

I want a RG Jcustom Guitars, incredible guitares,

Only a question about Jcuston, frets quality ??

I wonder if the frets on RG Jcustom are better than the normal range, harder,
or the same (Dunlop 6105)

Thanks you for your responses,

best regards !

Great guitars indeed. The frets will probably wear just as normal but it's the fret finishing and attention to detail that sets the J Customs apart, especially on the more recent models. Which model of J Custom are you thinking of buying??

Ah yeah, RG8420ZD, beautiful guitar. Not sure what fretwire is on those but you shouldn't have any problems with it wearing away quickly. I can't see Ibanez putting poor quality fretwire on the J Custom range.

I also think, or rather I hope!
Some manufacturers put stainless stell frets, but it seems that it is not very good for sound quality.
I think this is the reason why Ibanez pose normal frets.

Thank you for the information,
therefore, the Jcustom frets are harder, best quality than Prestige.
This is good news for me, I want to buy a RG Jcustom.

JC fretwork is dangerous, you better be careful. It'll be hard to go back to a Prestige once you've tried a JCustom.

Re: Frets quality on Ibanez RG JCustom

Today, i read on the Japanese website, about the new Jcustom RG, Ibanez indicates that installes frets Jescar,
However, Jescar has a better reputation among manufacturers,

is that this is the first time that Ibanez uses Jescar on JCustom, or they use these frets on Jcustom regularly.

Re: Frets quality on Ibanez RG JCustom

Hello,
the last news from Ibanez Guitars..
I inquired at ibanez,
The frets of RG JCustom are Jescar frets, and not dunlop.
The better choice, Jescar !
Certainly, Ibanez uses the best for the RG Jcustom,
I'll buy this JCustom,
the guitar of my dreams.

Re: Frets quality on Ibanez RG JCustom

Hello,

I asked the importer, but I'm not sure of the answer.
I think he told me without knowing.
Users have told me that it could be, Dunlop or Jescar.
On some models, it is Dunlop, other models is Jescar.
This year, Ibanez offers JCustom leafless vine.
