help guys - USRG10 vs. USA Custom shop Ibanez RG

ok, I've swore when I get the chance, I'd get another USRG with a floyd on it to go with my hard tail USRG. But, today at guitar centers, I found the next best thing I think, I need you guys' opinions if it wouldn't be too much.. this is a USA Custom Ibanez RG. The obvious difference is the neck isn't the same as the USRG, but it's in decent shape, has a thick slab of figured wood on it for the top, probably 1/2" thick.. sounds great, plays great.. they are wanting 600 bucks for it..

is this comparable to the USRG? is it worth 600 bucks. No custom paint, just a figured top..

thanks..
John

If it's in good shape, that price seems like a pretty good deal. I'd say it's right up there with the USRGs, just a different flavor (with normal truss rod, etc). Post some pics if you get it.

That's a UCEW -Lacewood (sweet).

Usa Custom Exotic Wood.

Oh, and I definitely would think $600 is a decent price for that guitar as long as it's in good playing condition. Case come wid dat?

Thick tops on those things, none of that 1/4" crap - BEEFY!

oh man, that top is THICK!!!

it's in good shape, got a few nicks on the backside, some pock marks on the front (not real noticable) and comes with the case and all. I guess I'm going to have to put it on layaway.. thanks for the help Mark..

how are you liking your USRG? man, they are great!!

Yup. 1991 USA Custom Exotic Wood Lacewood (UCEW1LC) Cool guitars! I had one, and it was probably the best playing of the (4) UCEW's that I had at the time. Great tone, great Ultra neck....very nice axe. $600 is a decent price...about average if it's in mint shape. Definitely a little less-common than a USRG20 or 30.
