Help out a J Custom Newbie

hello to all,

i am a relative newbie here, and i am a vintage Ibanez collector with over 20 pieces. (artist, musician, concert series, etc.)

I have owned several prestige models like the s2540, and currently the RGT320qrbb.

I am ready to make the jump to the J Custom arena, but there are so many models, and so many differing opinions, I am not sure which way to go.

Here is what I want in a J Custom:

-Vined Wizard neck (or wizard type, i loved the neck on the s2540)

-HSH P/U config

-Matching headstock color

Could anyone point me in the correct direction????

The bay also has a nice selection every now and then, I'd suggest you take a look there too.

I don't think you'll get one with a Wizard neck, but check out these :

RG9670
RG8670
RG8470

And don't rule out the RG8270 which has the striped ebony headstock. I have a RG8270VV and RG8470FE and they're both awesome.

8270 is vined rosewood..

I had already picked Rich's brain regarding this and I really love the HRG01, but Rich says they are as rare as hen's teeth, so..............

Anything in VV with a matching headstock will do, neck thru or detachable.

I would love to hear more suggestions and I am in the market and ready to buy if you know anyone selling.

J-customs are made in small numbers each year, anything you buy will useally go up in value, go wizard 1 neck with vine if you can, everyone likes them. :P
