Hey Guys - Here's some pics of my new gear!

Hey guys. I finally got an Ibanez RG3120. Also got a Peavey 5150. These are awesome. The Ibanez plays like butter. I'm going to change the pickups for a Duncan Dimebucker and a Jazz. The 5150 I need to EQ better. Any of you can give me any tips for a kind of In Flames/Arch Enemy sound? Anyways, here is a pic of them. . Also, any tips you may have for good use of the 5150? Thanks in advance.

1: Box for Tom Cruise to stand on during photo shoots.

2: Weight to hold the washing basket down over the cat when it gets into that drapes-climbing, couch-shredding mood.

3: Get two of them, put them on end, cover with a sheet for a makeshift fort which you can protect with a toy raygun and plastic Harry Potter(TM) wand.

4: Decoy so people don't realise you're actually using a solid state Lab Systems amp (applies only if you're Ty Tabor).

Good guitar. The thinnest neck ever.

I love rigs like that! Great guitar into a great amp and that's it. (Even though you may have a bunch of effects hidden somewhere.) My preference in guitar and amp would be different but I do know that you have excellent, quality gear there. Enjoy your new stuff!

I like the 3120.It has an extremely thin neck though which makes me nervious.BUt it is a good guitar.

As for the 5150, I always found thsoe to be extrrrremely noisey and the tone controls do very little. My main gripe with that amp is that there is little midrange and the midrange control pegged makes almost no difference at all.THe tones coming from the Voodoo modded PEaveys seems ot be alot better than the stock model.I recommend using Trace at Voodoo to straighten the amp out if you think it is an affordable option.

Thanks guys. I already am enjoying it. Some of my friends have come over to my house and they're drooling over the Ibanez. I just ordered a one of those Behringer cabs with Jensen speakers. I can't wait for it to get here for my to try the 5150 at full power. That amp sounds too awesome for my style of playing (metal).
