How much is my rg1527 worth ? in €/£

-Emg 707's
-Floyd rose screw on arm mod
-signed by joe satriani
-some paint chips [thanks to the notoruisly thin 1527 paint]
-pretty clean otherwise

I need to sell it for something else i just want a smoother more vai'ish tone than the emg's

It really pisses me off that i spent €900 on the guitar and €320 on the EMG's because of the crap irish economy and i saw a similar one go rediculously cheap recently

They go for about 700 USD in the US.

You can get more only if the buyer wanted exactly what it has (EMGs, screw mod).

To someone who wants other options, you're WAY out of luck because they would think "how much do I have to spend to make it what I like?"

The Satch sig doesn't do it any favours in my opinion, given that it is not a Satch guitar anyway.

lots of peeps are picky about EMG's. Some like em, others despise them. I know that was an issue when I sold my 320DX.

I think you would do better if you could re-install the stock pups. Don't fret if you don't make back what you put into the axe. Happens a lot but you can always make it up with a good deal down the road on something else.

Since you are in Europe, I think you can get 800-900 euros for that thing.

I say go back to stock pickups, and sell the guitar. Then seperately sell the EMG set that you pulled. I think you will get the max cash that way.

707s are routed for so the pup cavity is about 1cm wider than stock passives , also i dont have em anymore =/

that's a problem with the EMGs, its a no turning back situation.

Just put it up for sale as is at 900 EUR (fleabay or local), and if no one bites, lower the price. I know it sucks that way but if you have to sell it, you have to sell it.

I would say $700 US is overly high for a 1527. People sell 1570's with the Prestige case ($125 value) for about $500.

They generally do, if you're used to US prices and convert from Euro to $.

But you can pick up a brand new RG1527 for 800eur (list is 899, at the current rate = 1440$)

So I'm guessing this this will fetch between 300-500eur. With all these mods, chips and stuff it's probably worth more in parts.

It always boggles me how people can call an obviously used guitar with paintchips "mint". Mint to me means that the guitar as a whole is in perfect shape and nothing less.

Ibanez is more expensive in europe so they still have a higher resell value. Emgs are also extremely expensive in europe so again a guitar already equipped with them have a higher value.

You won't get all your money back but you'll atleast get some.

I walked into Guitar Center a couple months ago and was looking at a white 2008 RG2550. It was $900 without a case and they would have sold it for 20% off that ($720) because they were having some special event where Satriani was actually coming into the store.

My other hobby is cars and it always blows my mind what people pay for the exact same parts outside the US. This is really the place to be if you want to have a bunch of crappy hobbies!
