HRG1

I am looking at an J Custom HRG1 FM. It has a 5A Flamed maple top, bolt on neck.

Anyone know anything about these guitars - can't find much on them.

Re: HRG1

What colour is the one you're talking about ? The HRG's are all Ikebe specials, made only for them.

Pink ! White binding. Tree of Life.

Wondering about the quality compared to an 8470 for example.

Re: HRG1

Right, full name is HRG-O1FM/EPK. It's essentially an RG8670 in a different colour ! The top is AAA flame, the neck binding is flame maple, the fingerboard is ebony, the TOL is white pearl (8670 is pearl/abalone). Being a 2004 model the quality will be at least as good as the 8470. Very rare guitar outside of Japan !

Yeh I seen it, but I won't deal with anyone on **** with less than 98% feedback. Plus he doesn't ship to the UK.

Re: HRG1

I think your best bet would be the Ishibashi U Box, but you'd have to check it virtually every day and be ready to buy straight away. If I see one for sale anywhere other than on an auction I'll post it on here.

I think that J Custom sold, or the auction ended without the reserve being met.

Re: HRG1

The guy had to relist it and so I'm the lucky guy to buy it. I sold my UV777BK and my BRMR to pay for it. I'll miss them but I REALLY wanted this guitar. I've always wanted a pink guitar and always wanted a J-Custom so now I get both. Because of the holiday it won't get shipped out till tuesday, so I'm still waiting for it of course. I can always get another UV777BK & a BRMR, but they only made 15 of these pink J-Customs and I had to get it while I had the chance.

Re: HRG1

I just received my J-Custom HRG01 FM NK (that's how it is on the cert, not EPK) today. I'll post pictures soon. This is an awesome axe and well worth selling my BRMR for. Nothing is wrong with it, it's like new. The board is ebony, not rosewood like the seller listed, which makes me very happy. I wish I could find more info on these just for my own curiosity.
