I finally scored a j-custom

It is a 97 s3040bm.When I first saw the pictures,I didn't know if I could get used to the gold glitter binding and inlay. When I saw it in person,I promptly plopped some cash on the counter. The glitter and natural wood definitely work well together. The tone and workmanship are top notch,in fact I couldn't find a flaw.Having an s-style is a nice change of pace.I might have to find an rg-arch to keep it company!

Congrats to a fellow S player! The glitter always spooked me a bit too, but it's still a beauty.

I don't know if you guys noticed, this thread was from nov. of last yr.I have sold the guitar along with countless others and my studio and extra amps.I still have 11 swirls that I did and a smaller recording setup.I ended my band and have switched my priorities away from gear. Most pro musicians don't own the amount of gear I've had over the last 5yrs.It is a very freeing experience to let go of all of this stuff and put the gear craze in its proper place in my life. Not that having 11 swirls is normal, but at least I'm taking a few steps on the road to sanity! That being said, the s3040 is a killer guitar and I would recommend it to anyone.Sorry I don't have any pictures.
