I wish that Ibanez would make a guitar like this
It would be an Ibanez RG565 with a few mods. I love maple fretboards, reversed headstocks, bindning on neck and headstock. So the changes for the old RG565 would be:
Edge pro- trem
AANJ
Pearl inlays near the edge of the fretboard like on Ibanez JPMs
Bindning on neck + headstock
Color: White w. matching headstock
It would be a superstrat in 80s' spirit. Simple but lethal!
Here's a RG565 with changed neck so it would look quite similar to this one but with reversed headstock:
Here's a RG565:

I think the RG565s were manufactured only in ´92. I'm not sure though...
That would be so simple but yet sooooo nice!

There was an EX365 that had the
reverse headstock
. If you can find one it'd make a cool project.

Yeah, I really want an RG565 or an RG520 with a
reversed headstock
. Preferably in a baby blue type finish. To me, that looks killer.

I wish it was mine
That wouldn't be a too expensive guitar for Ibanez to produce and there are loads of 80s shredders who'd like to have a guitar like that with H-S pup configuration, with
maple fretboard
, reversed headstock, with with color etc...
Ibanez, please start making a model like that.

I really really wish that Ibanez would start manufacturing guitars like that. It would be nice to see some change for the current lineup. That would sell like a mofo, I think.

I give up, what do
reverse headstocks
and single coil
neck pickups
have to with "shredding"
?

Well, there are quite a many shredders I know who'd like to have a superstrat with H-S pup configuration. Reverse headstock just looks cool, nothing more.
Hopefully this clarification made your day so that you don't have to think about it anymore.

Re: I wish that Ibanez would make a guitar like this
George Lynch has usually favored that pup configuration (H-S) for the last several years. With the right single coil in the neck it is killah!
