If I had to choose, I would get the RG GOLD. I'm sure if it's taken care of it will have better resale value in the future. But it's really up to you.

vs

Well I'm sure the RG would be made very well and look amazzzing! BUT the Jem would probably play better.............and at the end of the day it is a beast - either way!!! Thats what its all about, but its up to you, do you want an RG or a JEM?

I'd snag the RG-GOLD1 hands down. I still miss mine every once in awhile. It played and sounded WAY better than any of the (4) VWHs that I've had.

Those pics are an RG-GOLD2, aren't they? The RG-GOLD1 was gold leaf all over, and didn't have the cranes.

"the one i would get doesn't have the herons......."

Of course, you'd have to page all the way through the pics from Rich's site to see that discaimer. LOL

The GOLD1 is all gold leaf with no birdies.

I originally thought those birdies were Japaneese laquer [they do some of the absolute best laquer work in the world!] imagine my disapointment when they turned out to be decals imitating laquer

Nevada have had the GOLD for ages, I bet they'll do A deal. I miss mine - it played and sounded great. If you goto the Ibanezregister.com I bet Jerry Could do you a deal on the GOLD (And you can look at the other one in the Galley

Cheers

I have had both and both are great guitars. the GOLD played superb, but it is an aquired taste, I would definately have one again.

If you did a forum search you would find my old ad from when I sold mine (to Vaijem777 - (You would also find the Crane/Heron debate too )) When I did the Ad I had plenty of requests for pics etc. but only 4-5 serious queries, and Rich has had the GOLD 2 a while.

If you have a few the GOLD is awsome and I think it is a bit more versitile sounding (and V. exclusive) BUT!!! If you only have one or two guitars or you need to sell a guitar quick for whatever reason, you will never have trouble selling a second hand Jem7V here, on ebay at a store etc.

They are both great - you can' loose!!

I think most people here opted for the GOLD and so do I. Getting the GOLD is more of a once-in-a-lifetime (ok maybe not lifetime) opportunity, whereas a 7vwh will always be available at hand.
