It's supposed to have a 3 piece maple neck.

hi Rich i realize that most other ibanezs have the three piece neck.

but im just wondering why mine doesnt and if it was something new from ibanez......

whats concidered a three piece neck?

the fret board 1
the heastock 2
and the neck 3
is this correct??

i was looking at the gem necks and they all have the scarf joint.....

my older 570 had a scarf joint

but this 1570 clearly does not

A 3 piece is 3 long strips glued together, a one piece has a scarf joint.

thanks after going back and looking at the neck page....

at the bottom they have the volute (hump at the nut) neck setup......

this is how my 1570 neck is http://jemsite.com/axes/htm_features/necks.htm ....

does this mean my neck is cheaper made?
