Ibanez RG2771 Prestige - I just scored one!

Hey Guys,

I just scored an Ibanez RG2771 Prestige from evilbay this morning. I am pretty sure it was the one that belonged to Adagio_777 on these boards.

I managed to score it for £403 in the end, which I thought was a great deal! It will go very, very nicely next to my Ibanez RG421 in my collection!

I know Algiman was bidding on it too, from these boards, lol.

I thought that was you Gary! Yes I was bidding, but I'm glad it's going to a good home. I wasn't prepared to go over the £400 mark but I recon you got a good deal there.

Beautiful!

With the offset dots and the sunburst it reminds me of my old, trusty Dinky Archtop (which has no flame top, however).
If I´d ever come across one here in Germany (and for a reasonable price like yours) I would certainly buy it!

Well I was the other way around. If I hadnt have got this, I probably would have got either an RGA121, or the PGM301. But I like this one more, its rarer, looks cool, was a better price.

Cant wait to get it and play it really! lol
As I said before, Im sure it will go nicely next to my RG421, and my Yngwie Strat of course.

Well, I recieved it this afternoon in the post.
All I can say is.........WOW! What a guitar! The top on it is gorgeous! It beats my RG421 hands down in both looks and playability. You really can tell the difference, it just has that "step-up" in terms of everything. If I could find another - I would get another! lol

I will try it out properly tommorrow, and really give it a test-run on a cranked amp. But I am going to stick a DiMarzio Cliplock on it before I do that, as I can only use those.

I will get some detailed pics ASAP, and I will also do a couch pic of all my axes together this weekend!
