Ibanez RG550 question!

I will buy an rg550 and i have two offers, one RG550 black 92', and another RG550 black 94'.

Are the 92' models better than the 94' or reverse? or equal?

Should be the same, although the 1994 might have an AANJ, and the 1992 might not. Just depends on which you prefer. Otherwise, they should be the same, IIRC.

1992 definitely won't have AANJ, it wasn't introduced into the RG range until 1994. My preference would be the 1994, as long as the condition is good.

Thanks for clearing that up. I know for a fact though that Reb Beach's guitars had the AANJ in 1992, so that's why I was unsure.

well, the 92 may have a lo-pro edge....i would opt for the aanj, but if the 92 has a lo-pro, i'd be half tempted.

Sure did. Also the AANJ was around quite a while before the Reb Beach model, too. I think it first appeared on the Maxxas? Gambale models also had it.
