I'd like to know...

where I could possibly have an Ibanez Custom made to my specs?
I might consider having one made but the model that almost seems like the one is an SZ prestige body, stoptail, figured maple top, fancy cross inlay on 7th fret, with intricate vine inlays, (thicker vines than on the jem) abalone and pearl.

Mahagoney back and sides, thin lightweight body, (SZ style) fat neck carve, mahagony neck with ebony fretboard.

Seymour duncan Pearly gates pup on the neck, and Seymour duncan pearly gates on the bridge. (gold humbucker covers as well.)

Sperzal locking tuners, gold.

Graphite nut, and "JD" on truss rod cover in abalone.

Abalone body binding, also on headstock.

Tortise shell finish, on flame top.

I don't know where I could get an Ibanez like this but if you have any idea where I could start please tell me. I own both an Ibanez JEM7V-SBL and a high end PRS McCarty model in natural ten top with bird inlays.

I'd like to one day get a custom guitar by Ibanez maybe one day, I just want to know know where to start. lol

I also heard that they make Custom USA Ibanez?

please and thank yous.

Ibanez does not make custom guitars for people unless they endorse you.

You're out of luck! most builders are unreliable/silent/rude jerks (after taking your money and your materials of course) and take "FOREVER" to finish your project if you get it back at all that is...

Re: I'd like to know...

Christopher Woods & Sims Custom Shop is perhaps an option. Custom seems to be the only way

Contact Chris (owner) at Hot Rod 6-Strings.

He worked directly for Ibanez building USA guitars in CA for years.
Now he is in CT.(203)-775-6989

Go check out his website:

www.hotrod6strings.com

He is a close friend for 25 years and THE most talented luither I know.
I'm trying to get him to get active on this site because I think he's the only gujy building custom guitars who actually worked for Ibanez building guitars.

Come on man. Patrick is a stand-up guy! He always deliveres top notch work, even if his time quotes are on the short side.

Christopher Woods seems to be working ons schedule for 2 years now.

If i wanted a paint job, i would take it to Sims.

He would get so much work, he would be swamped in like 3 seconds I bet..

He's a 2 hour straight shot down I-84 for me..
