Re: If Ibanez made YOUR signature model...

Ok well mine would fall somewhere between the early JEMs/ RGs and the super strats tha charvel make for Eddie Van Halen and Warren DeMartini.
Body- JEM style (or if breaking the copyright laws, RG- no monkey grip but with routing simmilar to a lions claw)
AANJ
one humbucking pickup- Evo, Breed or PAF Pro, one volume control.
Bridge- Lo Pro Edge
Neck- 24 fret maple neck with bubinga reinforcement stripe
fretboard- maple
inlay- "zig zag": like a vine, only sharp angles. bigger waves over key frets
Finishes- Red, white and black swirl, GMC swirl and the three 777 neons

That would be my ultimate guitar!

and by the way- that is probably the best DNA i have ever seen! it looks like DNA+ stars swirl= space age DNA!?!

Re: If Ibanez made YOUR signature model...

Well had a mess about on the web with the guitar design thing, came up with these 2

CJM 1/2
Body: Basswood with Flame maple cap
Neck: Superwizard with blank ebony board side markers only.
Bridge: Lo Pro Edge
Pickups: Direct mount Dimarzio Evolution Bridge/Paf Pro neck (Hand wired by Tony Blair)
Electronics: 1 Volume, 1 Tone push pull pot for coil tap, 3 way toggle.
Jack input recessed as in Jem/JS.
Gotoh tuners
Dimarzio strap locks and pots

EDIT* The pots and switch are meant to be in the same place as the 1st one, didnt notice i'd messed them on the 2nd

Ebony and Birdseye Maple Fingerboard options
Birdseye maple neck
HSH pickup configuration.Dimarzio Steve Morse in Neck, class of '55 in middle Fred in Bridge.
Humbuckers each coil tapped with one switch

Re: If Ibanez made YOUR signature model...

Mines real easy.
First:
Ibanez RG 7
Mahogany body w/ flamed maple top
5 Piece baritone scale neck, rosewood board, bound neck and headstock
Edge Lo Pro 7 tremolo-black
1 humbucker in bridge position. either a lundgren m7 or duncan invader
See through green finish with a satin clear coat
Input jack on the side like on the Universe 7 strings

Hmmm come to think of it Im haivng this built this summer.

Hand-wired by Tony Blair? I think he might be a bit too busy to do that sort of thing. Sure would make for an expensive one-off guitar, though...

Nah, looks like he's gonna have a lot more free time on his hands now. The real challenge is get your guitar painted by the guy who did jesus on the ceiling.

Re: If Ibanez made YOUR signature model...

Nice to see some people being original here.

Why be just like Steve and play a JEM when you can get something to make YOUR signature stand out?
