Re: Ikebe help

I'm not sure about any commissions cost?
Usually there is a fee for the transfer, your bank is the one that should be able to answer that for you.
If you use your credit card, your bank or cc company will still charge you a currencey exchange fee.
I've said this time and time again, I pray others don't have the bad experience I've had oversea's with ishibashi.
I know your using IKEBE, so I can't say for them, but if I we're buying any J Custom, old or new, I would go to Rich first, the best thing about this is he has a heads up in choosing the best ones, then he gets a hands on when it arrives and then he'll set it up, etc. You know your in good hands, paying the probably the same when all is said done with your oversea's taxes and all you'd have to comp. for going at it on your own.
My next suggestion would be to check here if it's a used model to you want.
Here on jemsite, or the bay, or whatever, I've gotten great used J's and Sig's from guys here on Jemsite, great people to deal with and meet!
Good luck,
sincerely,
Andres

^^ Interesting, I have never heard of issues with Itchy Scratchy before?

+1 about going with Rich if he has a model you're interested in.

Re: Ikebe help

My bank charges £25 for a transfer. I think this is the charge that all other banks charge aswell.

I read in an old tread that it is required to pay transfer fees for my bank as well as for IKEBE end and some commissions.

Re: Ikebe help

Yea, it was terrible!
This was last year, they processed our credit cards immediately on the day of purchase, so the yen vs. dollar was at what was agreed on when all the #'s and final price came thru.
Then, out of no where, almost two months later, they credit us back and re run our cards at the new yen to dollar exchange rate saying that it was our bank and credit cards.
Our bank and cc company said they never touched it, that it was all good to go at the original price and exchange rate.
We went back and forth till it got to be disputing. It was frustrating trying to get a Japanese company to honour the original price to the original purchase date. I can't see how they couldn't comprehend.
Everyone knows overseas cc purchases can take a while, but they processed it immediately guaranteeing us those prices on those original purchase dates.
Just go to Rich, he deals with that bs all the time, let him deal with it, and then get it from him without any surprises!
Peace...
Good luck,
sincerely,
Andres
