J custom's Wondering about A's

I see several 8470F J customs for sale online. But cannot find a single 8470A for sale. Anyone know of any?

I'm a huge ibanez newb, so I may be missing something important.


Also, is there any difference between the 8470A & F, besides the quality of the wood used?

I'm also not sure about the numbers they made of the A's, but from all that I've read the 5A top seems to be the only difference of note.

I think it was 36. The lack of maple neck biding is the only other difference.

Sorry Rich, the dimensions may be the same but the inlays are different. The stem of the vine on the A is not MOP. I guess they didn't hang around long enough for you to notice !!
