JCRG2

What do you guys think of this guitar? Such an odd combination, seeing that it has soundholes. Have you guys played on it? Heard it be played? What about the finish? Does it look amazing in person? I'm thinking about getting one, do you feel it is a good investment? Thanks guys.

Do you mean the H-JCRG-2 (the all natural colored one with gold hardware)? The JCRG-2 is the same as the RG9570 which as far as I know is just a standard neck through j-custom (not hollow.)

Wow. I have visions of PGM with REAL f-holes about twice as big as a normal rg (kind of like a mccarty hollowbody comparted to a mccarty) witha maple center block and a floyd like the kramer hollowbodes. Dear god. Its the ark of the covenant

Except that PG wouldn't be using an Edge.

He already plays a Pat Methany model on that album with his uncle.

Those aren't actually "soundholes"- they're more for cosmetic purposes than anything. There is a hollow "sound chamber" in the guitar, but it doesn't really have any significant acoustic properties. Cool guitars, and they do sound great. Now...if only they had a Double Edge...

Played it when I bought my second JCRG-1 (aka JCRG-21A). It was OK, but I preferred the Solid Body.

Very cool axe, but I too preferred the JCRG1.
