Re: Jcrg7/8527

Nothing that I can see. I've had both - just got a RG7 last week. The fret work is much better on the RG7. The only difference I had was the 8527 had an EP7 trem as it was an '04 and the RG7's all had Lo Pro 7's. For a brief time the side dot markers on the neck of some RG7's were glo-in-the-dark.

Realistically there shouldn't be a difference between the two as they're supposed to be the same model.

Yup - just the crazy Ibanez model numbers that change like the wind!

Same specs.

Re: Jcrg7/8527

Well.. actually there are some MINOR spec changes sometimes. A JCRG-2 and RG9570 are actually the same guitar except for the trem block. A JCRG-2 would have the HS-HV Steel trem Block like an OFR.

But aside from the very minor details, it's just Ibanez's marketing dept that wants to make it look like they have new models out by re-releasing the same guitar under a new name. (why is it that we all love this company even though they don't make thier own guitars?)
