I've got the 2004 RG2550EXVBB (Sparky Blue model, mirror dot inlay.) and installed a sustainiac stealth plus system on it...

he might of just changed the knobs to push pull pots to control it and idk if you need to route for the actual pickup

Actually, I was interested in getting sustainer or sustainiac for this guitar. I was just unsure if it's pain to install. I know how to solder and stuff (I make my own tube amps and pedals) but I don't have tools for routing here in US now. So if it's complicated it would have to wait till I get back, otherwise I could just do it here...

can't wait for it to arrive. It has just departed from NJ...It's like 50mi from here but still it says that 5th of July is expected delivery date, argh...
I've tried last years model in local sam ash. It was great (but slightly out of tune, I didn't have time to tune it). I'll get pocket POD for it while I'm in the states. I've got few homebrew all tube amps back in Serbia but I have to take something small for here.
