Just wondering what guitar this is

Hello all, I was wondering if any body had any information on what type of guitar this is. I was told it was a USA custom model that was part of the exotic wood series but I don't think they used the 540R body for that series. Although if it was, that would probably explain the pretty paint job.

The number on the head stock is F225529

Thanks in advance!

I'd say a '92 540SFMTT...

Re: Just wondering what guitar this is

I have to apologize for the horrible flash job on that picture too. I don't know if you could tell if it is rose wood or ebony. I think it might be ebony. To my understanding, not many Ibanez guitars had this *feature*?

I am just wondering if this guitar could hold any value. Even if it can't though I will still treat it like a saint...lol. I love this guitar.

Re: Just wondering what guitar this is

Just a stock S540FM, as Flobanez said. There's nothing 'custom' on it. It's got a rosewood fretboard (which you might want to clean soon ). But no worries, the slabs of rosewood ibanez used in those days were nice and dark ones.
Anyway, these should go for ~400US on auction sites.

It just says "Custom Made" on it. Even the 540S7 had it.

Re: Just wondering what guitar this is

Thanks for all the positve comments as I too was like "wow that thing is pretty" the first time I saw it! I am actually a little bit happy it isn't *too* expensive as this is my first ibanez and floyd rose equiped guitar, and I am already scared enough of breaking something !

Re: Just wondering what guitar this is

I have a guitar that reads the same thing on the 21st fret...its Hunters Green Color with the Serial Number F309769 on the Head Stock...Does anyone have a clue how to figure out what it is. The only info I have is the Year it was made (1993) and where it was made by the Serial Number. I'd like to know the Model so can fix the screwed up wiring. An evil and jealous woman used it as a baseball bat on her husbands Mustang. it still plays great. Help!
