oh, I just read it. Yeah so it is a string dampener, that is pretty cool just whenever (if ever) I put one on my strings (like a hair tie or something) I feel like it is cheating a little, but Greg Howe uses them sometimes so I don't feel as bad

Re: Megadeth's Chris Broderick LACS

If this was a 6 string it would be what I'd want in my signature model

Basically I'd like a RGA with a FR or possibly a ZR (I've not tried those yet so I'm not sure if I'll like them or not), matching headstock (I don't need reverse, though I dont mind), a single volume pot (I never use the tone pot) and the kill swithc Chris has in there is also a cool adon (easy to put in yourself).

So come on Ibanez, make me that guitar

You're missing the point slightly mate. The dampener on Chris's guitar is placed behind the nut, not used like a hair tie thingy, a la Howe & Govan.

I wouldn't call that bitching, he's simply stating his preference if this was a production model, I think.

The twist is being neck-thru, reverse headstock, ebony fretboard and wicked figured maple top, otherwise, YES it would be a standard RGA

Saw this live yesterday, to settle the colour argument, it looked positively purple

Would've saw it in person, waited three hours after the gig, but nooo, couldn't do that ¬_¬ Douchebag security and junk ¬_¬.

The guitar is transparent black. Chris has said it himself. It just looks different depending on lighting.

Re: Megadeth's Chris Broderick LACS

I must be an idiot. I still don't see it being one guitar. That's some finish!
I know what you mean about the "one feature" but for me I see features on other models I'd love to see on an RG; well colors really. I'd love an RG in CDR or Green Shadow Flat. But I'm repetitive....
A production RGA with a trem might be cool too.

Is it really a neck-thru? IMO, it lookes like a AANJ on the first picture in this thread, but if it's not, it'd be a unique feature among other ibby's so there we have another reason why they should make it production model. Right?

Ok

I'll admit it'd be "slightly" more than a standard RGA.

I did not notice that this was a neck-thru. And the maple top IS wicked on this one I'll agree.

Ebony fretboards - I don't think I ever tried one - so can't say if I think that matters.

Guess we all have our little variations that we'd like to see, but in the meantime Ibanez wont even give us proper color choises on the models they do offer (or even matching headstocks on most models).

Re: Megadeth's Chris Broderick LACS

His guitar is awesome. Much like a dream guitar for me, but in a 7.

I watched the video and he is the first player that ever made me get that feeling in your stomach that you are outdated and need to upgrade your equipment. ie. Go to seven strings for metal.
